Chapter 2

Two days later...

Varsabhanavi  received a text.

Krishna:"Heyy juno... thank you sooo much ... your idea worked and am sorry I freaked that day ... I have a bad temper...

Varsabhanavi  smiled and replied with the message "It's okay Buddy! :-).. Chill :-)"

Krishna was pleased that Varsabhanavi  was so easy going and forgave easily .He never hesitated to take her help in computer subjects.

Varsabhanavi  was more than happy to help her senior and their friendship led to many hours spent at Varsabhanavi 's house teaching, discussing various issues ranging from college problems to politics.

Krishna enjoyed Varsabhanavi 's company much and knew she was reliable, positive and accepted him as he was.

During the last few days of the seventh semester , Krishna's schedule was hectic. He had to prepare for the cultural events as well as give his best at the interviews. Krishna was placed in 3 companies with packages unimaginable for a fresher.

Despite that he had keen interest to take up higher studies .The last few days seemed a breeze as his work was almost done on his behalf by Varsabhanavi .

From arrangements for audio visuals to getting banners for the events and getting the various performing groups Varsabhanavi  was a handy help and a substitute for Krishna.

Krishna was praised for his work and involvement in the college events by his staff and Principal and Krishna realized that the real credits belonged to Varsabhanavi .

Krishna thanked Varsabhanavi  for making sure the event went on well as it gave Krishna more time to concentrate on his interviews and studies.

And one fine hot summer afternoon Krishna spoke to Varsabhanavi  expressing his desires ; least expecting the outcome..

Krishna : Heyy Varsabhanavi ... Hi...

Varsabhanavi : Ya tell me Krishna ... you told me you wanted to meet me and well I'm here..

Krishna: Varsab...  we've known each other for so many years...

(Varsabhanavi  knew that the conversation was hitting at a direction she hardly expected to.. Yet she was determined Krishna was a different man...)

Varsabhanavi :yes Krishna ... it’s been almost 10 years i guess !...Long time ....!!

Krishna:I was just thinking that.....

Varsabhanavi :ya go on Krishna.. What’s up?... any new event that I've to take up (Varsabhanavi  prayed hard that Krishna shouldn't hit the wrong note)

Krishna:That ... We together make for....

Varsabhanavi :(blurted) Hope you’re not meaning that You and I thing!!!! Please!

Krishna:(embarassed) I meant that we would make a great pair!!

Varsabhanavi (quite outraged):I dint expect this from you .. But as you've not said much ...Please. I believe in friendship between the opposite sexes. I don’t mean to be mean but truly that was not what we were meant to be. I truly feel you have been bitten by infatuation bug!!!Please take a break...

Krishna(interrupted):No.. It’s not so... I'm not a jerk as you seem to think. I'm a serious guy..

Varsabhanavi :Am sorry .. I don’t see any point in arguing...Bye...

(Varsabhanavi walked off swiftly and dint bother to wait to hear Krishna's plea.)
