Chapter 3
                                    (Read the second chapter here)
June 2010

Varsabhanavi  successfully completed her engineering in computer science and was a college-topper. She worked with Inminds technology firm where she started her career as an apps -developer.

Varsabhanavi  learnt that the very words "trust", "honesty”, “friendship" seemed to assume different meanings at different levels in the corporate world. She was adept in the art of coding and destroying bugs but felt a cold loneliness everyday as she prepared to leave her workstation.

There was money, people and everything around her that could make her happy but the feeling of insecurity kept biting her always. It kept ringing in her mind that made her feel - school and college life was a piece of heaven.
She would muse, joke and enjoy with friends nevertheless have a void building deep inside her.

Varsabhanavi  was offered to be sent to New York to work at the client's place on-site and she jumped at the very thought of standing at Times Square .Varsabhanavi  was a child at heart and every single moment she wished to cherish than brood. Hence the ideas of leaving her parents behind dint deter her but put her on the first plane to the Big Apple.

In NY, Varsabhanavi  stayed at serviced-apartment at West End Avenue and her office was right across the street. Varsabhanavi  enjoyed her apartment as it had no restrictions and it was all hers until she stayed. She shared the apartment with two other women from other companies.

Varsabhanavi  spent first few weeks at office spending extra hours to meet deadlines. She would often imagine how her application once developed would change the future for better. She was an avid blogger and enjoyed updating her thoughts and ramblings with the world. She spent the weekends visiting her long list of relatives and sight-seeing in NY. She often visited the Church of St Paul and St Andrew and enjoyed the sermons.

One day while visiting the Statue of Liberty about 11.5 miles away , Varsabhanavi  saw someone she could never forgot her life. From one corner of her eye, she could see how much “her most favoured but detested later” senior had grown up to be. His childish face now looked more mature and his moustache looked manlier than he was at college.

She shied away at first but it was Krishna waved at her with all enthusiasm possible. Varsabhanavi  was a little uncomfortable at first but later reconciled that a simple greeting could do no harm.

Krishna: Heyyy Man...How you Varsabhanavi ?... it’s so lovely to see you...!!

Varsabhanavi :Hi... so what’s up and how are you!!Am fine... so how is your job or...

Krishna:Ah.. No i dint take up the job offered by ...well what was that German company.. I dint feel it was my cup of tea.. I'm studying here at Princeton...

Varsabhanavi :Oh ! Lovely... nice to know you took up what you liked and followed your heart...

Krishna(chuckled):If I had followed mine I'm sure you know where I would have been..!!(winks)

Varsabhanavi :(blushed) Ah.. Come on now...

Krishna: (sensing that Varsabhanavi  was embarrassed) that was a joke by the way...

Varsabhanavi : Oh .. kool(with a slightly dejected accent) I gotta go now .. Catch you sometime later...

This was the start of an otherwise sweet candy love story.

Jan 2011

Varsabhanavi  had completed three months with the project and was steadfast when one day she looked upon the window from the 34rth floor and saw the people below.
She felt a strange happiness that she had found someone whom she had known to be very caring than any of her friends. She was letting her mind ponder and think more about Krishna when suddenly her mobile buzzed informing her of facebook notifications.

She checked to see Krishna's friend request and she gladly accepted his invite.

Krishna: Hey you accepted my invite!! Whoa that’s a big progress madam!!

Varsabhanavi : Hey that’s just a social networking site and invite...don’t get any ideas ...

Krishna: Com'on I just am glad that my dream girl had accepted my request.

That was the last Krishna could type something to Varsabhanavi . She had blocked him.. She dint like the flirtatious nature of Krishna.
Krishna slammed his apple lap and yelled "What's the F*** wrong with her... I wasn't even... These women will never ....."
